There’s all kinds of work that goes into planting food plots. Finding the right location, choosing the right seed, soil testing, clearing, burning, disking and of course planting the seed itself. For however much time and preparation you can spend into planting a food plot, it still comes down to one key ingredient... RAIN! Without it, you can’t grown anything.
This also happens to be the one ingredient that you have no control of. You can’t control how much or how little you get. Not enough rain, plant dies. Too much rain, plant dies. It’s important, not only to just get the rain itself, but to also get the right amount of rain and the man who has control of the rain is God Himself. So whenever you plant a food plot, it’s never a bad idea to find favor with God. :)
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”
- 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
